About the Role
Join Streck’s Operations team as a Processing Supervisor, where you’ll lead a skilled team responsible for the initial processing of incoming cellular components in a regulated biomedical environment. If you thrive on combining scientific precision with people leadership — and want to make a meaningful impact on the quality of products that matter — this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the processing of RBC cellular components, ensuring all work follows Standard Operating Procedures and Quality System Requirements.
- Maintain hands-on competency across all processing steps; step in to support or cover Technicians when needed.
- Enforce strict aseptic technique and
clean roomstandards to meet sterility requirements. - Plan and schedule all departmental functions — including production schedules, staff time off, overtime, and team meetings.
- Manage raw material and supply inventories to keep production running on schedule; initiate purchase requests as needed.
- Ensure all process documentation is accurate, legible, and completed on time.
- Review and revise departmental SOPs and work instructions for alignment with FDA and ISO Quality Systems.
- Partner with other production departments to solve cross-functional challenges and meet production targets.
- Lead recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for the department; conduct regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews.
- Champion continuous improvement by surfacing ideas for cost reduction, equipment upgrades, and efficiency gains.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, or an Associate’s degree with relevant hands-on experience.
- Experience in an FDA/ISO-regulated environment; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Dependable, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Ability to operate lab equipment including centrifuges, bench scales, and peristaltic pumps.
- Comfortable with occasional physical demands: lifting up to 40 lbs, extended standing, and working in laboratory attire.
