Distribution Clerk 1
About the Role
At Streck, our Distribution team keeps the world's laboratories supplied with the Hematology, Histology, Immunology, and Chemistry control products they depend on every day. As a Distribution Clerk I, you'll be a hands-on part of that mission — packaging and shipping orders accurately, safely, and on time for customers across the country and around the world.
This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in doing careful, detail-oriented work, enjoys staying active on their feet, and wants to grow with a company that values integrity, quality, and its people.
What You'll Do
- Pack and ship orders — including standing orders, daily orders, international shipments, private label, promotional samples, and referee samples — following established work instructions.
- Pull and verify orders using our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and barcode scanners.
- Prepare international and hazardous material shipments, completing all required documentation.
- Package temperature-sensitive products with the correct amount of ice to protect product integrity in transit.
- Set up and operate packaging line equipment, including shrink wrap machines and pallet jacks.
- Count and verify product released from Quality Control before shipment.
- Follow all safety, FDA, and ISO regulatory requirements, and maintain thorough, accurate documentation.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and ready for the next order.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated success in a related role.
- Strong attention to detail and solid general math skills.
- A dependable, organized approach to your work and the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- A team-first attitude and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort learning new systems and equipment, such as WMS software and scanning devices.
Good to Know
This role is based in a climate-controlled laboratory environment, with occasional short trips into cold walk-in coolers. You'll wear lab coats and other protective equipment (hair bonnets, beard covers, masks, gloves, and/or face shields as needed) for stretches of up to two and a half hours. The work involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally — so if you like staying active during your shift, this role is a good fit. Domestic or international travel is rarely required.
